Analysis Of Measurements For Civil Works

This book has been divided in five sections. Section one emphasizes the importance of correct measurement of civil works besides giving the provisions in various Indian Standards on recording measurements. Section two explains the units of measurements for various items of work adopted by CPWD Schedule Rates 2007 compared with the units prescribed by Bureau of Indian Standards in SI200 with detailed remarks, section three is being included in the tender schedules, without realizing the amount of confusion created by this clause. Section four has been provided explaining the correct calculation of the area of a flat or building using different methods of measurements and the last section has been included providing Mensuration commonly used in measurements, conversion factors, conversion of rates, mathematical signs etc. commonly used building materials, parts and components.
