New Company Law

We feel immense pleasure in presenting revised second edition of this book entitled "Company Law." The Company Law or Corporate Law is that branch of law which governs the formation, incorporation, management, Control and other allied matters relating to companies in India. Companies constitute nerve centre of the trade, business and service providers. It deals with manufacture, production, supply and distribution of all things which are sine qua non for the development and well-being of all in the society. Most of the industries, factories, trade, commerce and business are run by the companies. Thus, the role of companies is formidable necessity for the development of the country. So it requires well managed and orderly companies. Some of the special features of the Act, 2013 are : provisions as to One Person Company, the Limited Liability Company, Independent Directors, Identification Number of Directors, Women Directors, the Social Liability of the Companies, establishment of Special Courts for speedy justice and National Company Law Tribunal, Appellate Company Law Tribunal etc. A vigilant attempt has been made in incorporating necessary and important judicial pronouncements of the Supreme Court and various High Courts at appropriate places in the related Chapters till date 2018 in a clear and lucid manner.
